Further to our current Sports Centre Apprentices nearing the end of their apprenticeships, we are now recruiting for new Leisure Team Apprentices to join the team.
The Leisure Team Apprentice will contribute to the day to day operations and delivery of services offered by our Sports Centre. If you have a passion for Sport and Fitness this is a great opportunity to start your leisure career in a supportive environment.
On successful completion of this apprenticeship you will also be eligible to become an affiliate member of the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA).
Further to training, typical duties in the post will include;
- Opening and closing up the sports centre facilities
- Welcoming customers and answering enquiries
- Delivering a gym induction
- Running a group exercise session
- Teaching swimming lessons
- Supporting in the maintenance of the environment by contributing towards cleaning the facilities
- Walking the gym floor
- Preparing for sports activities
The ideal candidate will have:

Our facility is dual use and is used by school students during school time and the local community and sports teams during evenings, weekends and school holidays. Our facilities include:
- Sports Hall
- Swimming Pool
- Fitness Suite
- All Weather pitch
- Grass football pitches
- Exercise class spaces
